Roman’s leadership is characterized by his ability to empower organizations, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape and successfully achieve their social mission. A key player in our work for the Ukrainian Red Cross
At the onset of the war in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) desperately needed assistance to enhance and secure their systems to take donations from anywhere in the world, in any currency. VRP offered to help pro-bono and Roman led the delivery project to find a solution that could help them scale to raise more money and increase their ability to save the lives of Ukrainian people. Together with Salesforce.org’s support, they orchestrated a swift and efficient delivery of a new platform and automated solutions, which resulted in a complete transformation of the organization’s capacity to manage the substantial volume of global donations.

Remarkably, this project was accomplished within a very short span of just five weeks, and the real-world impact was nothing short of extraordinary. The initiative not only saved thousands of hours for Red Cross staff, affording them much-needed respite from the front lines and grueling 18-hour workdays but also significantly boosted fundraising efforts, helping them to raise an impressive $22 million for their cause.

Helping Red Cross Societies around the world
Roman has spearheaded the transformation of not just one, but an impressive eight different Red Cross National Societies. In each instance, he empowered these organizations to harness the power of cutting-edge technology to advance their critical missions. Many of these Red Cross groups initially operated without any technological infrastructure, relying on cumbersome paper-based systems, spreadsheets, and emails.
Roman’s expertise and guidance played a pivotal role in introducing comprehensive technology solutions that not only streamlined their operations but also set the stage for scalability. Under his customer success and delivery leadership, these charities transitioned from archaic manual processes to fully integrated systems, allowing them to efficiently expand their reach and impact, thus making a substantial and lasting difference in humanitarian efforts.
Working hard for other nonprofits of all kinds
In addition to his remarkable contributions within the Red Cross network, Roman has extended his unwavering support to numerous other nonprofit organizations, exemplifying his tireless dedication to the betterment of society. One notable instance is his invaluable assistance to Tabletochki, a children’s cancer charity facing the urgent challenge of scaling their operations to accommodate the growing number of children in dire need of relocation from Ukraine.
Roman’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in guiding Tabletochki through this monumental task, focusing on enhancing their fundraising strategies, communications, and marketing efforts. His commitment to ensuring that every child in need receives the care and support they deserve is another example of Roman’s great work as an extraordinary force for positive change in the nonprofit sector and a deserving candidate for this prestigious award.
