Read moreAs a former Head of Fundraising, and industry adviser to the nonprofit sector, I’ve seen how technology can make an impact on the way nonprofits operate. This is why I’m excited to attend Salesforce® World Tour London on June 29th.
It’s an event that will showcase how Salesforce can empower the nonprofit sector and help them with their missions in exciting new ways. There’s a lot on offer at Salesforce World Tour London for nonprofits — too much to cover everything in one article! So instead, here are three crucial reasons why any charity or other nonprofit organisation should sign up and be inspired:
New perspectives on Salesforce’s impact for nonprofits

World Tour London is a unique opportunity to learn more about how nonprofits are using Salesforce technology to grow their organisations. Hosted in London’s ExCel Centre, the conference will be a great place to meet other nonprofits who are using Salesforce technology, as well as network with Salesforce experts.
This year, VRP has a ‘Meet and Greet’ booth in the exhibition hall where you’ll be able to meet people showcasing best-in-class technology to accelerate your fundraising, programmes, and communications!
A wide range of speakers from across the sector
The day will be packed with informative and inspiring talks from the nonprofit sector, including ones from small organisations. Last year we heard from amazing fundraisers, programme managers and also industry leaders all working towards helping nonprofits do better.

My favourite sessions last year were by Street Soccer Scotland who were massively inspiring, talking about how their small organisation has scaled fundraising. They also shared how Street Soccer helps thousands of people each year get help out of homelessness and also provide amazing opportunities like teams competing in the Homelessness World Cup. Truly amazing.
The other session I loved was with Millie Knight, Team GB Paralympic Alpine Skier. They interviewed Millie about how she uses Salesforce to track all her training, needs and progress. It was so inspiring to see how Salesforce can be used to help people with sight loss be their best selves. Watching Paralympic champion Millie Knight, and her guide Brett Wild, perform a run down a mountain will forever be etched into my memory. It was an amazing experience that truly showcased the importance of trust in teamwork through communication — thanks for being so awesome, Millie!
It’s free!
The most important thing to know about World Tour London is that it’s free. You don’t need to pay anything to participate, and there are no hidden costs or fees associated with the event – they even provide a delicious lunch, catering for everyone.
You’ll get insider knowledge and insights from nonprofits and businesses on topics such as scaling your fundraising, how to scale programmes and team collaboration and even get to demo some of the coolest new tools being released to make your life easier. The only thing you’ll need to do is register on the Salesforce website and make sure that you have a valid I.D. on the day so that you can get in at Guest Services.
In addition to being free, World Tour London offers many opportunities for learning, networking and fun activities. You could bring your team and make a trip out of it, and have some team-building time doing fun things such as sightseeing trips at London landmarks like Buckingham Palace or Big Ben.
Join us at World Tour London for lots of valuable learnings
I find it very inspiring when we look outwards and are around brands and businesses at the cutting edge of technology and innovation. So, I really recommend nonprofits attend this event to learn about how they can leverage technology to improve their missions.
Some of the amazing opportunities at Salesforce World Tour London for nonprofits:
- Learn how Salesforce and other tools can help you achieve your goals, and also look to for-profit brands for inspiration. How did Deliveroo scale? What mistakes did they make, for example? You’ll meet brands that are constantly innovating and growing.
- Discover new ways to engage with supporters, volunteers and donors through social media and email marketing campaigns through seeing demos and speaking to nonprofit experts. As I mentioned previously, VRP has a Meet and Greet booth, so you can come say hello to us too!
- Find out how cloud-based workspaces and tools like Slack can help you save money on infrastructure costs while increasing productivity among staff members who use Salesforce for their daily tasks. Honestly, as a busy working mum to four children I couldn’t imagine life without Slack – it saves me so much time!

Hope to see you there!
We hope that you’re as excited about World Tour London as we are. We know that it will be an amazing event and we can’t wait until June. Will you be joining us? If so, you can save the date and pre-register here.
If you’re attending World Tour London and want to meet one of our team for a coffee, lunch or just a brief chat, please let us know – they’d love to connect with you.
